CQB Training in Texas
Close Quarters Battle training built on real standards — structure work, movement, and decision-making for shooters who have already earned their fundamentals.
Close Quarters Battle (CQB) is not a beginner topic, and our Texas CQB courses do not water it down. We teach structure work the way it is actually employed: deliberate movement, angles, threshold evaluation, and the decision-making that keeps you and your team alive when the distance closes to feet.
Several Specialty CQB blocks run as force-on-force or simulation with no live ammunition inside the structure for safety. Live-fire CQB variants require prior course completion. Prerequisites are listed on every session — check them before booking, and contact us if you are unsure whether you qualify.

CQB Training in Texas — FAQ
Is live ammo used in CQB courses?
Several Specialty CQB blocks run as force-on-force or simulation with no live ammunition inside the structure for safety. Live-fire CQB variants require prior course completion and use live ammunition in a controlled, barricaded environment. Gear and ammo notes are listed on each session and in your confirmation email.
What are the prerequisites for CQB training?
CQB is an advanced topic. You should be safe, competent, and able to shoot on the move before entering a structure. Completing our Intermediate rifle/carbine coursework (or a documented equivalent from another school) is expected. Prerequisites are noted per session — if you trained elsewhere, bring your documentation.
Do you offer CQB training for law enforcement and military units?
Yes. We run dedicated CQB and structure-work blocks for law enforcement departments and military units, on-site or at our range, scaled from single-officer to full-team cohorts. Contact us with your unit size, objectives, and scheduling constraints for a tailored proposal.
How physically demanding is CQB training?
Expect kneeling, prone, moving through doorways, and sustained time on your feet over a full day. You do not need to be an athlete, but you should be able to move safely with a weapon system. If you have mobility concerns, contact us before booking and we will discuss accommodations.
